A belief that we could fundamentally change the cost and way that people get a website for their business or themselves.

2. AL: What do you do exactly?

Dazzly is an extremely easy-to-use way for anyone to build a website or do their own website design. You put in photos and it will help you write a little bit of text to describe your services (or products). As you do this, the website comes together before your eyes. There is no cost to sign up and build your entire website. It doesn’t even take much of your time either. This saves you thousands in up-front costs. 3. AL: Who are your clients, what are they looking for?

Field service contractors and small businesses are our main customers. To be more specific, all sorts of trades, fencers, landscapers, builders, plumbers, electricians, cleaners as well as engineers, fabricators, artists and more. Characters from every corner of the country. We also have eCommerce functionality which is popular for home businesses but we tend to focus on trades because we get them such good results across the board. Our customer service team is amazing, because we have that genuine interest and understanding of trades, we can give you tailored advice and get you started on the right track online.

What most tradespersons want out of their website is a professional visual first impression to correctly represent themselves, their workmanship, and years of experience. They want to be distinguished from the cowboys. They also want a marketing asset that keeps their phone ringing and the job opportunities coming in, even during the busy times. This also gives them the confidence to trial and bring on more workers as their books grow, which is good for our country.

5. AL: Can you tell us about yourself? Family and what you like to do on your days off?

Both founders, Lewis Anderson and Marcus Feeney are very family orientated. We bootstrapped Dazzly through COVID and are in the earliest days of being of in the USA and AUS markets too, this basically means not much time off lately. But being kiwis and a bit nocturnal and all too, we did find time for family park BBQs, watching some of the sport, getting some time out on the water too and even a wee bit of camping – so I guess we do have a bit of work/life balance. We directly support several diverse charities and organisations throughout New Zealand. These investments in our community will continue proportionally to our expansion.
