We are a big fan of Mount Hobson. The top of Mount Hobson provides almost 360 degrees views over Auckland, which makes it a great spot to watch sunrises (let’s be honest, who does get up so early?!) and sunsets as well.

We took the photo above about half an hour before sunset. At that time half of Remuera was already in the shadow of Mount Hobson.
