The image of the Ports of Auckland was taken from the Waiheke ferry on the way to Waiheke Island. They are the point of entry for products and goods from all over the world. There are thousands of containers stacked on top of each other, waiting for being processed and sent on their way to their destination.

I took this picture because of the beautiful cloud formations that give the scenery a very majestic look. Even though the Ports of Auckland are quite large, they seem tiny and insignificant compared to the huge cloud hovering over the containers and cranes.

There are always things happening down at the ports, which makes them a great place to hang out and watch people work.
