I took the above shot on a rainy Sunday morning in the Ambury Park. The park is just a few minutes away from  Mount Mangere and features three different walks. The above walk is through the wetlands along the coast. There are big groups of Pukekos in the area as well as other birds. The Ambury Park is a great spot for bird watching.

The walk through the wetlands is easy during low tide and when it is dry. During high tide and after heavy rain the ground can be very muddy and its good to watch your step. The ground is very soft and you can end up sinking into a little water puddle soaking your shoes.
