Brett – The Paper Artist
Brett is a passionate guy. It takes him several hours to finish even the smallest of his little paper creatures. Brett is also a patient guy. No matter how often passersby ask him the same questions … How long does it take you to create the little penguin? How many pieces of paper does it require? How long have you been doing that? … Brett answers all of them, politely and with a barely noticeable proud little smile on his lips. He is never bored or annoyed by the questions. He takes pride in what he does and likes when people show genuine interest in him and his creations.
It all started a couple of years ago when Brett saw a little paper creature in a book. He was charmed and thought out to create one himself. The will to succeed and a pile of paper was all he needed … would be the short and easy story, but it took him several months until he figured out the right technic how to make them stable, sturdy and steady. “Suddenly it clicked” he said, and he knew that he found the way they were supposed to be created. He has perfected the skill since then.
Always highly concentrated on his work, Brett doesn’t look up and around much. His favorite spot is in front of the Westpac building, at 79 Queen Street in Central Business District, where he can be found almost every day. Brett likes a good challenge and might be tempted to make you a special animal on request – if it is physical possible that is. If he agrees, be generous …. His persistence and dedication for his passion deserves nothing but highest respect. By the way, Brett loves coffee, why don’t you sponsor him one?
Keep up the good work Brett
