The Devonport Wharf is a lovely place to sit and watch people and ferries coming and leaving. Especially on sunny days, there is plenty of activity on the water with many hobby sailors taking their sailing yachts out for a spin in the Auckland harbour.

There are also several beaches on both sides of the Devonport Wharf inviting people to sit down and relax for a few hours. The above photo was taken around noon.
